At storytimes throughout the county, librarians are promoting the five early literacy practices. Attend storytimes at Hardwood Creek Library for ideas on how you can help your child get ready to read.
- Baby Storytime
for children up to 24 months
- Toddler Storytime
for children 2 and 3 years old
- Super Storytime
for children preschool through kindergarten age. Includes stories and a craft
- Family Storytime
for children of all ages and their families

We have four ongoing book clubs at Hardwood Creek. We also offer Instant Book Club Kits so you can have a book club anytime and anywhere you like. - Middle Grade Book Club
The Middle Grade Book Club is for kids ages 9 and up and meets the third Monday of each month in the Reading Loft from 5 to 6 p.m. The club will discuss the book while doing an activity.
- Minnesota Book Club
The Minnesota Book Club meets at Hardwood Creek Library on the fourth Wednesday of each month at 1:30 p.m. The club focuses on books written by Minnesota authors or on books set in Minnesota.
- Third Tuesday Book Club
Meets the third Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. at Hardwood Creek Library.
- Third Thursday Book Club
Meets the third Thursday of each month at 6:30 p.m. at Hardwood Creek Library.

Send documents to the library's printers and pick them up when you're ready. Items can be sent from your own computer or mobile device at home, in the library, or on the go.
To pick up your documents, go to the print release terminal near the reference desk within 24 hours of sending. Payment is accepted in the form of cash or coins only.
