Maker Fest

Maker Fest 2016
Maker Fest 2016 will take place on Saturday, Oct. 22, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at R.H. Stafford Library, 8595 Central Park Place in Woodbury.

Maker Fest is a community event where anyone who is embracing the do-it-yourself spirit—artists, crafters, performers, tinkerers, technologists, and more—come together to showcase work of all kinds. This hands-on celebration will focus on demonstrations, projects, and crafts to engage attendees. Projects should allow attendees to take home a finished product, example, or template, or offer hands-on experience. This event is a family activity intended for people of all ages. If you can craft, recycle, build, think, play, engineer, or share something unique with the community, we want you to join us!

Maker Fest will feature both established and emerging local makers. Some of the topics this family-friendly event may include:
  • Robotics
  • Electronics
  • Arduino projects
  • How to code
  • Web design
  • Photography
  • Origami
  • Fashion design
  • Green technology
  • Sewing
  • Video editing
  • Woodworking
